We make our year.
We are often quick to characterize a year as bad or good based on what happened to us and what life brought. To me, this has always seemed fatalistic and lacking personal responsibility. On the one hand, we let our fate rule us, as if we were spectators of our own life, not taking on the burden and responsibility to shape it.
For me the bearing of this responsiblity made this year much more beautiful. This year I created Politiquill.gr, run my first half marathon, graduated with distinction from my Master's, and had the pleasure and honor to serve local politics through the local chapter of PASOK.
However, I am neither writing this post to boast about this year's accomplishments, nor to say that we make our year by ourselves. It is a thank you to family, friends and mentors who made all this possible.
Therefore we, along with the people we decide to have in our lives, make our year
Happy New Year everyone! In 2025, let's do everything we can to make our year better, starting with choosing to have the right people by our side. First of all, though, let's start the year by thanking them for all that they have done for us.
Happy New Year!
